About these terms

This website belongs to JM Legg Pty Ltd (ABN 95 687 070 122), trading as JM Legg Hotshots, Midland WA 6056. By using this website or asking us for a quote, you agree to the terms below. Nothing here takes away any right the law gives you.

Using this website

The site is here to tell you about our freight services and to take your quote requests and messages. We keep it as accurate and up to date as we reasonably can. Service details and availability can change, and what we confirm with you directly is always the final word.

Online estimates

The estimate shown by our online quote form is indicative only. It is calculated from the road distance and driving time Google Maps returns between the pickup and delivery you enter, the weight and urgency you choose, and the rates and rules we set, and it includes the fuel levy and GST. It is not a fixed price and it is not a booking. A quote becomes binding only when we confirm it with you directly.

Rates are indicative. Final pricing depends on load size, timing, and site access. Estimates also depend on driver availability and safety requirements, including maximum daily driving hours for single drivers and the need for additional drivers on urgent deliveries.

Bookings and freight

Freight is charged per kilometre of road distance from pickup to delivery, one way, plus GST. The rate per kilometre depends on the weight class of the load (up to 3 tonnes, up to 8 tonnes or up to 12 tonnes) and on whether the run is urgent or planned, with urgent runs charged at the higher rate. The online quote form gives no automatic figure for loads over 12 tonnes; call or send the request and Jarrad comes back to you. A fuel levy is added to the freight charge, and the fuel levy can change. GST is charged on the freight charge and the fuel levy. Any run with more than 10 hours of driving needs two drivers. On loads up to 3 tonnes, a two-driver run is charged at a separate two-driver rate; on the 8 and 12 tonne classes the standard rate applies either way. 30 minutes of loading and unloading is included, and extra time is charged as demurrage at $30 per 15 minutes. Any estimate, whether it comes from the online quote form or from us directly, is indicative only, and the price is confirmed with you before the job is booked.
